- SMEIS was founded in 2015 with over 50 years of experience in education.
- SMEIS started its first academic year 2015-2016 supported by more than 50 years of experience in the education field, with a promise to provide a very strong, inclusive learning environment including how the curricula are devised, delivered, monitored, and changed , promising to provide experienced and qualified teaching staff and ongoing professional development, with the use of relevant technologies in the field of education.
- In July 2016, SME International School started its first step in the way of excellence in the educational field by joining the American International Accreditation Association of Schools and Colleges (AIAASC), the school accreditation arm of the American Educational Consulting Associates, Ltd. (AEC), which is the continual guiding philosophy to assist the international schools in maximizing their effectiveness in governance, management, and program enhancement as to prepare the students for a world of global independence.
