In 2023, Saint Mary–Elias International School for Girls (SMEIS) proudly achieved full accreditation from Cognia, a globally recognized authority in educational quality and continuous improvement.

This prestigious accreditation confirms that SMEIS meets the rigorous performance standards set by the Cognia Global Commission, which oversees more than 30,000 schools and districts across the United States and around the world. It reflects our ongoing commitment to academic excellence, effective leadership, quality teaching, and comprehensive student support.

Our accreditation is recognized through the following commissions:

• North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI)
• Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC)
• Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI)

The current Cognia accreditation is valid through 2029, underscoring our school’s dedication to maintaining and exceeding international educational standards.

Prior to joining Cognia, SMEIS was accredited by the American International Accreditation Association of Schools and Colleges (AIAASC) from 2016 to 2022, marking the beginning of our journey toward global educational excellence
