Accreditation

Saint Mary – Elias international School for Girls (SMEIS) was accredited by the American International Accreditation Association of schools and colleges (AIAASC) from July 2016 until June 30, 2022. In August 2022, SMEIS officially started the accreditation process with AdvancED (now Cognia).

AdvancED (now Cognia) is the unified organization of the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI), the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC), and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI), creating the world’s largest education community, serving 30,000+ schools and districts across the United States and around the world. The Global commission, a national panel, reviews and acts on all recommendations.  

November 3, 2022, SMEIS received the candidacy review visit from Cognia which announced officially that SMEIS is a candidate for accreditation with Cognia and announced that SMEIS has the complete capacity to receive an engagement review visit and the full accreditation by 2023.
